Penguins center Sidney Crosby and winger James Neal skated for a second day in a row at Consol Energy Center.
Crosby is recovering from surgery for a broken jaw. Neal is recovering from a concussion.
Both were in full gear and worked with team conditioning coach Mike Kadar well before the rest of the team was scheduled to practice.
Defenseman Paul Martin, who is recovering from hand surgery, skated earlier with Kadar.
