After skating on his own for two days, Penguins center and captain Sidney Crosby joined his teammates for the morning skate at Mellon Arena today.
Although he will not play tonight against New Jersey, he is considered day-to-day and will travel with the club tomorrow. That means he could return Monday against the New York Islanders or Tuesday in a rematch with New Jersey.
Crosby has been dealing with a high-ankle sprain since Jan. 18. He missed 21 games, returned for three, then decided March 14 to take a week off.
"It feels a lot better than it did a week ago," Crosby said of his right ankle.
