WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON (22-21-3-3) beat Utah, 4-2, at First Union Arena. LW Tomas Surovy and D Ross Lupaschuk each scored his 15th goal and C Kris Beech and LW Matt Murley their 10th. RW Tom Kostopoulos and D Darcy Robinson had two assists apiece. G Robbie Tallas stopped 29 of 31 shots.
WHEELING (18-27-3) lost to Augusta, 3-2, at Wheeling Civic Center. C Zenon Konopka scored his 14th goal, D Mario Larocque his 12th. G Tyler MacKay stopped 29 of 32 shots.
