The finalists in each category:

Hart Trophy (Most valuable player) -- Mario Lemieux, Penguins; Jaromir Jagr, Penguins; Joe Sakic, Colorado Avalanche.

Mario Lemieux, Penguins owner/player

Pearson Award (Players' MVP) --Lemieux; Jagr; Sakic.

Norris Trophy (Best defenseman) -- Raymond Bourque, Avalanche; Nicklas Lidstrom, Detroit Red Wings; Scott Stevens, New Jersey Devils.

Calder Trophy (Best rookie) -- Martin Havlat, Ottawa Senators; Evgeni Nabokov, San Jose Sharks; Brad Richards, Tampa Bay Lightning.

Selke Trophy (Best defensive forward) -- John Madden, Devils; Mike Modano, Dallas Stars; Sakic.

Vezina Trophy (Best goaltender) -- Martin Brodeur, Devils; Roman Cechmanek, Philadelphia Flyers; Dominik Hasek, Buffalo Sabres.

Penguins Team Captain Jaromir Jagr.

Lady Byng Trophy (Most sportsmanlike player) -- Lidstrom; Adam Oates, Washington Capitals; Sakic.

Jack Adams Award (Best coach) -- Bill Barber, Flyers; Scott Bowman, Red Wings; Jacques Martin, Senators.

Trophies also will be presented in the following categories, with the winners already determined based on regular-season play:

Art Ross Trophy (Most points) -- Jagr.

Maurice Richard Trophy (Most goals) -- Pavel Bure, Florida Panthers.

Jennings Trophy (Fewest goals allowed) -- Hasek.
