For the UPMC Health Plan Pittsburgh Half Marathon, the price of registration is $75 for the first 5,000 to register, then takes on a spike to $85.
"This marathon is going to be a huge weekend celebration of runners," said Patrice Matamoros, executive director for the marathon.
"We are urging everyone to come home for one of the biggest weekends in Pittsburgh."
Along with the full and half marathon, the weekend extravaganza will feature the FedEx Ground Pittsburgh Marathon Relay, UPMC Sports Medicine/UPMC Health Plan Pittsburgh 5K Run -- which is May 3 -- Toyota of Pittsburgh Kids Marathon and Purina Pro Plan Pittsburgh Pet Walk.
A two-day GNC Live Well Health & Fitness Expo will be May 2-3 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

There are no refunds or deferments of entry fees, the minimum age for the marathon May 4 is 18 and paper/mail-in registrations will not be accepted after Jan 1.
