Nothing on radio now is comparable to WJAS' former format

May I echo Rich Campbell’s feelings (“Soulless Radio,” Aug. 23 letters) regarding the demise of WJAS?

All of my radios were tuned to WJAS. While I have searched, I can’t find anything on the radio that is comparable. I am devastated.

I would set my alarm to hear Jack Bogut on Friday mornings play Jeannie and Jimmy Cheatham. Bill Cardille played a part in my life since I was 13 years old.

The wit, the banter — I miss it all. Isn’t it sad that with an AM-FM radio, you can’t find anything to listen to?
