Should Pa. citizens laugh or cry because of these politicians?

I’m writing to express my opinion on the article concerning the political “yuk fest” at the Pittsburgh Improv in Homestead (“Corbett, Wolf Become Funny Foes: Leaders Crack Wise in Fundraiser Here,” Aug. 14). As a longtime reader of the Post-Gazette, here is the short and sweet:

Among the comedians, you have Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto (along with “lieutenant mayor” Rich Fitzgerald — the Allegheny County executive); Tom (I was going to slash tonight’s entertainment budget — what, no teachers here?) Corbett; Tom (My God, I do look like Edgar Snyder) Wolf and the rest of the comic relief characters.

Kudos for raising $40,000 for a worthy foundation. But, ladies and gentlemen of Pennsylvania, we’ve seen this standup comedy routine for years by these “funny” men.

Let’s take this show on the road so that I can be their manager. I won’t even charge the $139,542 that special education adviser Ron (I’m no ghost employee; see, I have a nameplate) Tomalis received from the Pennsylvania taxpayers.

Keep on laughing, Pennsylvania.
