To my mind Grant Oliphant’s case for saving the August Wilson Center intact (“Save the August Wilson Center: Turning It Into a Hotel Would Be a Grievous Loss for Pittsburgh,” Aug. 11 Perspectives) could not have been more eloquently or persuasively put. Point by point he has skewered each argument advanced by the New York hotel developers, countered these with a rundown of all the rich benefits that a restructured and revitalized Wilson Center would bring to the community and outlined a realistic approach to achieving the center’s original vision and mission.

I intend to forward the article to everyone I know who might be prompted to help the cause by raising a voice.
