Letter: The 'Pittsburgh left' isn't cute; it's dangerous

I was appalled reading Patrick Lee Miller’s boxed and graphically enhanced July 28 letter “You Know You’ve Arrived If You ‘Get’ the Pittsburgh Left” regarding this bizarre practice.

Do Pittsburghers (and the Post-Gazette) really think this is a cute, benign local affectation? My small car was totaled when a “yinzer” turned left in front of me on a green light Downtown. Not only is it dangerous, it is illegal. Driving is dangerous enough without ad-libbing.
