Regarding Ruth Ann Dailey’s glee over the frustrations of liberals this summer, it’s a wonder her laptop didn’t short-circuit from the drivel (“It’s No Summer of Love for the Flustered Left,” July 28).

An American soldier released for five Muslims held without a trial in a gulag in Cuba. Bad deal, should have left him there to suffer. So much for support the troops.

Women denied access to contraceptives because of bosses’ religion, not hers. Hooray. Drivel.

Supreme Court rules against unions. Yes! Corporate drivel.

Federal court opposing decisions regarding the Affordable Care Act. I’m not sure why anybody would be happy over a dysfunctional court system.

And the Supreme Court rules that the U.S. Senate is never out of session, as long as it says it’s not. Take note, any future president, Democratic or Republican.

I expected all those reactions from Ms. Dailey. My only frustration is still with the “do-nothing House Republicans.”
