Regarding “Derelict Landlord Granted Reprieve” (July 14): A reasonable person would have to question the logic and/or competency of Magisterial District Judge Richard G. King in his granting of an additional 30 days for the landlord in this particular case, to come up with a “good faith” relocation plan. The landlord in question has shown a complete and callous disregard for providing basic housing needs and simply scoffs at all efforts to force him to do so.

District Judge King has simply extended another 30-day period of suffering for the tenants in question. A far better decision would have simply been to order landlord Davin Gartley to jail.
