No more U.S. troops should go to Iraq

Kudos to Tony Norman for his brilliant synopsis of the Iraq War and the current near collapse of the present Iraqi government (“Glenn Beck Fesses Up on Iraq War. Who Else?” June 20 column). He put a nail on all the talking heads.

I have much respect for our soldiers and their families. They are the few who give their all. We have lost many of our heroes in Iraq and Afghanistan. They gave their lives for our country. They did not die in vain. Many more of our heroes came back broken. I pray they will get the help they deserve.

I also pray these soldiers are not sent back to Iraq. Their job was done. I don’t think the perpetual war in Iraq would come to a conclusion even if every able-bodied man, woman or child in the United States would be sent there.

Barack Obama is the president of the United States, not the president of the world. I heard Sen. John McCain compare President Obama to the despot Nero. I think that is the pot calling the kettle black.
