Lies on Iraq

While the predicted dissolution of Iraq continues, Fox News has once again been lying even with factual evidence staring in its face.

The on-air personalities and guests are blaming President Barack Obama for leaving Iraq. But the truth is that we were mandated by an agreement between Iraq and the United States, penned in November 2008, under the command of President George W. Bush. It was a pact between nations and welcomed by the Congress.

Prior to 2011, our withdrawal date, Mr. Obama wanted to amend that agreement and leave additional troops. The Iraqi government refused to grant any immunity to our troops in the event of misdeeds or accidents. This stand by the president was met favorably by both sides of the aisle.

Also to be noted is the omission by Fox of the number of lives that would have been lost in Iraq over the past three years.

Concerning the deaths of our heroes, their service was not wasted, as this news channel has been spouting. It is sad that Fox again uses our fallen for political gain.

Sen. John McCain has made horrible statements about the president while knowing the truth. Sen. McCain, it is time to tell the truth or shut up.
