A valuable swap

Those who have joined the chorus to oppose the repatriation of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl are merely aiding the anti-Obama campaign. The return of our soldier is a high-value coup. Consider:

1. The sergeant was a longtime prisoner of the Taliban. He will have much information about the Taliban to reveal to those who will interrogate him.

2. We hold many enemies at Guantanamo, all of whom have surely been drained of the information they hold. Keeping them any longer merely continues to drain the military budget.

3. The sergeant has a right to answer the allegations of his critics. Let the Army deal in a logical and just manner with the negative reactions of those who go to great lengths to censure any presidential decision.
