Pittsburgh should be so proud of its marathon! The organizers, the volunteers, the cheerleaders on Frankstown, the Viking at the 21st mile and all of the spectators make it an experience that none of us should ever forget. Your signs (half of them inspiring and half of them hilarious) provide the runners with distractions that make us forget how tired and sore we’re feeling. But that pales in comparison to the energy that we gladly take from your encouraging messages, high-fives and fist-bumps. Thank you!
I thought that this marathon would be something I would cross off my “bucket list.” You’ve changed my mind … See yinz all again next year!
