Regarding “City Expands High-Tech Traffic Signals” (May 2): Is this for real? You’ve got to be kidding me.

We live in the East End and regularly travel the area this article describes and have been utterly appalled at the (lack of) movement possible in the five-block area from East Liberty Boulevard to Penn Avenue on Penn Circle East/Collins Avenue.

Please send out the geniuses who designed the traffic lights and their timing on these blocks. See if they still pinch themselves with delight after traversing these blocks and trying to make a left on Penn.
