McCord’s misleading

Does anyone else think Rob McCord’s TV spots in the race for the Democratic nomination for governor push the envelope? His TV spots touting his success against our current governor’s effort to privatize the Pennsylvania Lottery gives no credit to our state attorney general, Kathleen Kane, who was the major reason Gov. Tom Corbett failed to privatize the lottery. Mr. McCord simply agreed with her as treasurer. Really, Rob?

Mr. McCord also keeps telling us that he is the only candidate who is willing to go after the drillers for a 10 percent extraction tax. All of the Democratic candidates agree on this issue, maybe not at the 10 percent level proposed by Mr. McCord, but with a Legislature controlled by the Republicans, how does he propose passing any tax bill, let alone one that would tax their major backers?

All the candidates are promising something they are unlikely to deliver. I would like all the Democratic hopefuls to tell us how they will achieve the aspirations they advertise!
