We apologize for postal customers’ spotty delivery

I wanted to express my deep concern and regret for the service interruptions our customers have experienced in portions of the East Liberty, Point Breeze and Squirrel Hill delivery areas.

We have had operational issues (which also included some isolated disruptions due to severe snow) that resulted in missed and nondelivery to customers. We have been diligently working to make sure these problems cease and do not return.

To these customers and all customers, let me say quality service is our goal, and your experiences are not indicative of the service we wish to provide. An apology is no substitute for quality service, but I feel compelled to offer one on behalf of the Postal Service nonetheless.

We welcome anyone with future concerns with their mail service to contact our Consumer and Industry Contact office at 412-359-7845.

Thank you for your trust in the Postal Service and for allowing us to serve you.

JOHN J. PHELAN
District Manager
