Bucs’ ‘Yes’ gesture

I saw the letter titled “The Pirates’ Gun Gesture Is Painful, Not Joyful” in Monday’s Post-Gazette, and I wanted to clear the record. Last year’s sign was the Zoltan, which was taken from the movie “Dude, Where’s My Car?” Well, this year’s sign is from World Wrestling Entertainment.

For anyone out there who watches WWE, they know what this gesture means. There is a character named Daniel Bryan who is a wrestler. His character is portrayed as an underdog. He has something that’s called the “Yes Movement,” and that is where he points up to the sky and says “yes” over and over as the audience chants with him.

Let’s go, Bucs!
