Care and support

Having spent several hours at Forbes Regional Hospital with people who were victims of the tragedy at Franklin Regional High School, I have come away totally impressed with the medical care, kindness and support shown these students and families. On that awful day, staff immediately set up a large, private room with food, drinks, comfort and counseling. There were hugs from social workers, nurses and clergy ready and willing to assist in any way they could, all the while totally respecting individual privacy. Physicians were constantly updating families and friends on victims’ conditions.

Lives were saved due to fast action from skilled medical personnel and wonderful technology, but lives were also enhanced by the compassion and support so abundantly present during a very difficult time.
