Ad wars abuse

I know that radio and TV stations reap a windfall in advertising dollars during the campaigns for political office. That we, the uneducated public, must continue to be inundated by the moronic claims and mud-slinging that the warring parties dish up is almost unbelievable.

We continue to see the advertising war being waged by the two large medical insurance companies in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. This war has raged for years (but seems like eons). These giants also must think we are stupid. If they would just use these advertising and posturing dollars for the good of those people who can least afford health care, what a wonderful thing it would be.

All the big money being spent to convince us of one politico being better than the other could be better spent on road repair or some other effort to benefit one and all. Let us pray for a change.

I’m just J.Q. Public … and I do not approve of these abuses.
