I can talk about how Obamacare helped my family without my having to lift a finger. My son was allowed coverage on my health care through my job until the age of 26 as long as he was a full-time student. I thought that was a wonderful idea, having your child be covered when he or she is a full-time student and certainly not yet in the workforce.
Before Obamacare he would have been cut off of my health care at the age of 18. I do not know how to arrive at the amount of money that saved me and my family, but I know it was significant. That would not have happened without Obamacare. I wonder how many people have saved an incalculable amount of money already due to Obamacare because of the elimination of the pre-existing condition clause in insurance policies. If that condition happens to be, say, cancer, that would amount to hundreds of thousands of dollars for just one person.
My son has had his 26th birthday and is between jobs and signed up for insurance online. I suppose he did it after most of the glitches had been worked out because he was able to sign up and be insured within 20 minutes. I don’t know how you can deny that Obamacare has been very good for us and many, many others. And this is only the beginning.
