No longer watching

All these years, I thought I was the only person in the Pittsburgh area who was fed up with the local TV news coverage — on all channels. I stopped watching any news but national about six months ago. I find I can read about it in the Post-Gazette in the morning, with my coffee, and not yell at the TV.

I wholeheartedly agree with Tom Klimcheck’s Jan. 31 commentary (“Local TV News, RIP”). Local news is like someone leading a donkey around with a carrot dangling in front of his nose. “Get details at 11 p.m.” Indeed! And all those pats on the back they give themselves, plus all the commercials! Wake up, TV stations!
