Instant replay is the right call for Major League Baseball

I read a “guest” editorial from the Post-Gazette in our town’s local paper, The Bedford Gazette, dealing with Major League Baseball reviewing close calls by game umpires with instant replay (“Instant Umpire: Baseball Makes a Good Call on Reviewing Plays,” Jan. 22 PG). I totally agree.

If they can record the speed of baseball pitches with radar, then why not the location of balls and strikes? Although never in a major league game, it’s been done.
