Save the Wilson center

I was very fortunate to have worked with August Wilson on his production of “King Hedley II” at the Pittsburgh Public Theater about 15 years ago.

I have never visited the August Wilson Center as I moved from Pittsburgh over 10 years ago to pursue my career in arts management. I can tell you that after working for five different arts organizations on the East Coast that Pittsburgh Public Theater is the best managed arts organization I have ever worked for.

That said, my suggestion is that you hire Cindy Tutera, general manager of Pittsburgh Public Theater, as a consultant to help get the August Wilson Center back on track.
