They got theirs

And then members of Congress left town

And there they went off again — to their warm homes and meals for another long, undeserved time off. Wow, I wish I were a member of Congress. Instead of worrying about people without jobs possibly ending up homeless, I would be snug in my neighborhood begging people to vote for me so that I could keep making the big bucks and pension and say, “Hey, I got mine so I don’t have to extend the poor people’s unemployment benefits; that might take something from me and mine.”

A handful of workless, elected warm bodies has again forsaken the jobless and poor of our United States. Did anyone hear the door slam when they left their offices and stacks of uncompleted issues?

May God bless them; I sure will not. Happy holidays, members of Congress.
