School money in the Wilson Center would be a waste

If the schools are in financial trouble and the district is closing schools, how can the Pittsburgh Public Schools even think of buying the August Wilson Center (“School Board Shows Interest in August Wilson Center,” Dec. 20)? What are they going to do with it?

Don’t waste the taxpayers’ money on a white elephant of a building.

Why not start investing money in preschool programs so that kids are prepared for kindergarten? They should have left the neighborhood schools alone.
