Live and let live

It appears that now one can’t have a negative opinion about anything without some group — be it the gay community or people of different faiths — complaining about it. Now, while the “Duck Dynasty” family head was overboard with what he said, they are still his beliefs. Are we not allowed to have our own opinions anymore? Must we keep silent and let everything slide through just to be politically correct?

And when did it become an issue for Christians to celebrate Christmas? Just because everyone in a particular school does not celebrate the season (for example, those of the Jewish faith) does that mean we should shut it all down and give up our celebration? I say NO. Everyone should be able to live their lives as they see fit.

We may not agree with what others do, but that is their choice. However, once that choice is made, don’t assume that everyone has to agree with that choice. Free will and free speech are reasons why this country was formed. Let’s not now take all of that away.
