Terrible example

I find the reported actions of Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald appalling (“Chelsa Wagner Booted From Party, Rips Fitzgerald,” Dec. 16). When called on it, Rich Fitzgerald points the finger: “My staff made a mistake, I get that.”

I am pretty sure we can see in black and white who made the mistake and it was Rich Fitzgerald. His bio on Allegheny County’s website says he has eight children. Does he not know he is setting an example for his children? I don’t think this is how we are to treat our contemporaries.

Lead by example, Mr. Fitzgerald. His bio additionally indicates he wants to “ensure that county government is responsive to taxpayers and protects their interests.” I am pretty sure that he and Chelsa Wagner have this initiative in common. So how about showing some team effort and congeniality to Ms. Wagner? She was elected to do a job, too.
