Fix, not destroy

Shame on the GOP! Instead of putting effort into improving the health care law (and it is law), the Republicans are conniving to destroy it. Their latest is the memos to their members requesting they make a concerted effort to gather stories and develop strategies to block any progress toward making it work.

When one examines other programs — health care in Massachusetts, Social Security, Medicare — there were glitches and problems that had to be addressed before the programs were functioning as intended. Certainly there are problems with the Affordable Care Act as it exists. Fix it! Heaven knows our current system is sorely broken and clearly does not work in the best interests of the citizens of this country.
