Great public servant

I was saddened to learn that former U.S. Rep. Bill Coyne passed away recently ("William Coyne: Congressman From Pittsburgh," Nov. 4 news obituary). When I was in college, I interned for Rep. Coyne on Capitol Hill. As a young college student, it was a great experience to see a politician who cared for the community and nation like Rep. Coyne. He was a tireless advocate for Pittsburgh who worked to make the country a better place.

He will be missed.
