I thought that UPMC could not have looked more ridiculous when they tried to paint a picture of Highmark as a monopolistic entity, when in fact it is UPMC that wants no competition. However, recently we learned that the health care system has claimed to have no employees and that it bought or leased a $50 million jet, outsourced transcription workers and asked a judge to enforce a settlement on lawsuits which would jeopardize Highmark's ability to file future lawsuits.
UPMC proved me wrong. It just doesn't understand how bad it looks.
