I would like to thank the Post-Gazette for letting readers know about our politicians' plans to make Downtown Pittsburgh bus-free. Being a longtime resident of Pittsburgh, I remember the days when there was a lot more traffic and people Downtown and we lived with that. It sounds like the new plan is to make Pittsburgh into a gated community.
Knowing that Democratic mayoral candidate Bill Peduto thinks it is OK to burden transit riders with this plan tells me a lot about how he will treat Pittsburghers in his decision-making. He lost my vote.
