A reform message

When Pittsburghers selected Bill Peduto in the May primary election, they voted to reform city government. In the city, victory in the Democratic primary is tantamount to victory in the fall election, but winning those elections is only the beginning.

If Mr. Peduto is to succeed in pushing through reforms in the face of opposition from entrenched interests, he will need our support. A large margin of victory gives him a stronger position from which to enact better governance. Those of us who want good government in Pittsburgh need to turn out and vote for Bill Peduto on Nov. 5 to show our support for reform. We need to send the message that we meant it when we voted for reform and that we are ready to follow through.

I am currently living abroad and won't be in Pittsburgh on Election Day. I sent off my absentee ballot recently because I want my wonderful hometown to be an even better place when I get back. Mr. Peduto needs your support to help make that happen.
