According to present legal standards, a young adult with schizophrenia who wanders the streets but threatens no one will be:

a) allowed to continue wandering;

b) committed involuntarily;

c) given mandatory drug treatment;

d) required to undergo outpatient treatment.

The answer is "a." A person has the right to wander, and to be ridiculed, assaulted, impoverished, imprisoned, violent and possibly die living under a bridge. Can we just step up socially and medically and help these people?
