Not doing their jobs

It is time for all Americans to stand up for themselves. We have elected our federal representatives to work for us as Americans, not for themselves. They have held all of us hostage long enough. The government shutdown does not affect them; it affects every person in the United States and places our country in a position where other countries are questioning our claim of being the greatest country in the world.

Many may not like Obamacare, but it should not be used to cause the shutdown and chaos that we are now facing as a country. We must deal with each issue separately. I personally do not support Obamacare, but I think we need to take on this issue separately and keep our government working.

If you are hired and you do not perform your job as your job description states, you will most likely be fired. We as citizens of the United States hired our senators and congressmen to perform a job based on promises they made to us during their campaigns, and now they have decided that they will perform their jobs as they see fit, not as they promised or we expected.

Lastly, regardless of the outcome of this debacle by our elected officials. I can assure them that I personally will not vote for any incumbent to be re-elected. I encourage all voters to stand up and exercise their right and send a message by sending home all of the elected officials who have failed us -- as their employers and as citizens of the United States.
