Rogers wrong again

Well, once again PG editorial cartoonist Rob Rogers either misses the point or is attempting to be needlessly provocative. Instead of advocating taking guns out of the hands of good, law-abiding citizens (Sept. 29 cartoon), perhaps Mr. Rogers should be advocating an overhaul of our nation's mental health system and better ways to keep firearms out of the hands of the criminals and emotionally disturbed individuals in our society.

I would refer him to Glenn Beck's excellent book "Control" as a good starting point to learn more about responsible gun ownership and the truth behind attempts at gun control in the United States.

As the saying goes ... whenever there is a tragedy involving firearms in our country, the first thing they want to do is take the guns away from the people who didn't do it!
