The health care law is already working for people

Despite the ranting of the extreme right wing, the Affordable Care Act is helping millions of Pennsylvanians save money and obtain health care services. As a recent college graduate who is hunting for a full-time job, it is such a relief to me to know that I still have three more years on my parents' insurance, and when I do get my full-time job, I cannot be denied coverage due to pre-existing conditions.

I have witnessed the importance of having good health care coverage as I have watched my 83-year-old grandmother, who is a veteran, battle cancer three times and defeat it each time. It's heartbreaking to watch the House Republicans refusing to stand up for people like my grandmother who will benefit the most from the Affordable Care Act. They should be ashamed of how they're treating their constituents.
