Thank you, thank you, thank you to Diane Ravitch ("Education Expert: Tide Is Turning," Sept. 17). I see advertisements on TV for cyber schools that teach things that public schools have been teaching for years and doing a good job of it. As for her comment about scams, look at the allegations against the founder of the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School.

If people want private education for their children -- fine. But don't make me, a taxpayer, pay for it. You can call them any name you want -- they are still private schools!

And, by the way, tell politicians and others to stay out of education, unless they have a diploma and experience teaching. May the movement away from "private" schools continue.
