Your editorial "Not His Cup of Chai" (Sept. 22) said that the "request" by Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz "not to bring firearms into the company stores" serves as an "implicit indictment of our gun-crazed culture in a week when Americans were disturbed by another mass shooting." Yet the PG continues to host advertisements for firearms and semi-automatic assault rifles.

If PG decision-makers are truly disturbed by our gun-crazed culture and yet another mass shooting, the paper will take a meaningful stand and no longer accept advertisements for firearms.
