Roadway courtesy

As summer is coming to a close, the number of bicyclists on Pittsburgh roads will decrease as will the number of road incidents between bikers and car drivers. Recently, I rode in the Pedal Pittsburgh event and would like to point out that I noticed a number of bikers who chose to ignore the road signs and "rules of the road." A number of times, motorists were forced to alter their course because bikers cut them off.

I don't know about the rest of you cyclists, but losing an argument with a 4,000-pound or better weapon is not a welcome proposition. We all must share the roads and the responsibility to use them courteously.
