Flag incongruity

Regarding the letter on the subject of Northern exposure for the Confederate flag: I am amazed that, in May of this year, I drove 845 miles from Memphis through the Mississippi cotton-growing delta, going on to Yazoo City, Jackson, Natchez, Vicksburg and Clarksdale, staying at small, Southern nonchain motels, and even on a plantation ... and I never saw a Confederate flag flying anywhere on a structure or a car or truck bumper -- only at the battlefield in Vicksburg.

Yet three days back in Pittsburgh I saw a pickup truck on Grant Street Downtown, and low and behold -- it had a big Confederate flag waving in the wind. Unbelievable.
