In regard to "Enough Said: Dreams of Citizenship" (Aug. 18 Forum):

Title 8 U.S. Code, Section 1225 says, "An alien present in the United States who has not been admitted or who arrives in the United States ... shall be deemed for purposes of this chapter an applicant for admission. ... The alien shall be detained for a proceeding under section 1229a [removal proceedings] of this title."

President's oath of office: "I do solemnly swear [or affirm] that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

The Constitution of the United States: Article II, Section 3: "[The president] shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed."

Enough said: Enforce the law!
