A true leader for Pa.

As a current university student emerging from the first generation to benefit from the notable Children's Health Insurance Program, I would like to express my support for the Allyson Schwartz campaign for governor. Pennsylvania's CHIP, the creation of which was led by Rep. Schwartz when she was a state senator, gave middle-class families the ability to provide health insurance to their children and was used as the model to shape the national CHIP program, which has provided health care coverage to more than 11 million children.

As a longtime political leader, Rep. Schwartz has been effective in creating more jobs for Pennsylvania citizens, promoting policies that help support our veterans and working diligently to improve our state's education system.

Why re-elect a governor who has repetitively proven to prioritize tax exemptions for the wealthy class and has voted consistently for policies that do not support the needs of the majority of middle-class Pennsylvanians? A new direction of leadership is what is needed in Harrisburg, and Allyson Schwartz is the right candidate to tackle the hard-hitting issues.
