Smile-worthy prose

I read Sharon Randall's gentle prose ("Thank God for Little Things: They Give Us Hope," June 3 Portfolio) with a smile on my face. She's a woman after my own heart. I, too, am content with the small things in life: seeing mini-sprays of water thrown by birds from the "puddle" in my gutter, the beauty of the flowers in my garden, delicate rainbows in the distance, my dog laying on my feet, the song of the chimes hanging on my side porch, sky so blue it hurts to look at it.

I also delight in reading pieces such as the one she has written, and I treasure such articles when I'm fortunate enough to find them. Please continue gracing my life with them; they make me smile.
