Regarding "Pennsylvania Turnpike CEO Discusses Steps Taken in Wake of Scandal" (April 26) and the allegations of inflated costs, the steering of contributions to Pennsylvania politicians, rigged bidding, bribery, etc:

This is quite a serious list of significant criminal charges, all at the expense of state taxpayers.

Although official charges have been filed against three individuals, there has been no reference to others who were members of the turnpike commission when some of these nefarious acts occurred.

Why has the commission chair, William Lieberman, not been dismissed from his position? One would think he should have had sufficient grace and good sense to have submitted his resignation by now in light of this ongoing expose.

The proposed abolishment of this commission by several state legislators makes a great deal of sense. The termination of this incredible boondoggle is long overdue.
