Fed-up taxpayers

These politicians like to stick it to the taxpaying citizens. They want to raise driver's license and license plate fees and fines for violations. They say it's for repairs to roads and bridges, yet Pittsburgh has some of the most disgusting roads and dangerous bridges in the country. Where did all the past fees and fines go? Not so much as a coat of paint on our bridges.

Why don't they stop voting themselves pay raises and perks like cars, gas cards, long vacations and trips that never accomplish anything for the public. On that note, better yet, get rid of their positions! Those funds would just about cover costs for repairs and create jobs for people who will actually get some work done.

I think we should make every elected and appointed position in Harrisburg a two-term limit, with no perks. I also agree with the recent talk of getting paid for getting work done. No productivity, no pay! In light of criminal activity and convictions, their pensions should be revoked.

California has 120 positions in its legislature. Why do we need 253? Look how much money that would save.
