About the heinous school shootings in Connecticut: We need to stop asking what was the motive and realize that it is pure evil due to a lack of God in our society. Some people don't know, love or serve God. Doesn't this make them vulnerable to the devil who roams this earth? Shouldn't we make every word and deed for the honor and glory of Jesus Christ? After all, Jesus walked among us to show us how to live. The very Son of God suffered and died for us to save us from our weakness in sin and show us how to live with one another.
It's not the guns that are the problem. Guns were invented how many centuries ago? Godlessness leads criminal types and warmongers to use them to kill each other instead of for hunting to nourish themselves. Good, law-abiding people now need them for self-defense. Unless you stop making all guns (not very realistic), criminals and mentally deranged people will always find a way to get guns if they really want them, leaving good people defenseless. It's not increased gun control that we need so much as self-control. To obtain self-control and respect for life, doesn't one have to seek out God and follow his Son's teachings?
The first Christmas was Jesus coming into the world to save us and teach us how to treat each other. May we all pray to God for a better world this Christmas.
