Two-sided story

In its Dec. 4 editorial "Land Grab is Wrong," the Post-Gazette claims that Israel's plans to build in East Jerusalem and settlement blocs are not helpful to the peace process and should be condemned. The approval of these plans was in response to the Palestinians' breach of prior peace accords by going to the United Nations.

Nowhere in the editorial is there any mention of the Palestinian violation. Nowhere in this editorial is there any mention or condemnation of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas' support of Hamas' launching of thousands of rockets at Israeli civilian targets, his incitement by false claims that Israel is trying to destroy the Al Aksa mosque, his denials of any connection of Jews to Jerusalem, or his failure to stop the teaching of hate and anti-Semitism to Palestinian school children.

Such actions are not helpful to the peace process and should be condemned. Post-Gazette readers deserve to know all the facts, not just the ones that the Post-Gazette serves up to support its anti-Israel bias.
