An inspiring tale

In the Feb. 16 article “Woman Puts Her Heart into Writing Romances,” Debby Conrad’s story of trials and ultimate success was retold. As a high school student, I found her story incredibly inspirational, especially the idea that it is never too late to do what you love.

Her dedication to publishing her writing was also enlightening as I have similar goals. In addition to being motivating, it also revealed a side of publishing that is rarely explored. Self-publishing is reputed to be excessively difficult, but hearing her success story gave not only me but a myriad of other writers hope for their manuscripts.

I greatly appreciated the personal nature and original metaphors of the article and anticipate many more features on local success.
